With heights of up to 460 feet (140 meters) and blades reaching over 60 yards (55 meters), wind turbines are the largest application within the renewable energy sector. Although their size allows them to produce more energy, it also makes them more difficult to build and maintain. Working at height makes safety paramount. Tools must be small and lightweight to carry up the wind tower and be able to fit in restricted spaces. Offshore windfarms are difficult to access and tools must be reliable and easy to maintain.

Standard solutions

The Typhoon multi-stage range has been designed to deliver high bolt loads in tight spaces. This makes them ideal for use within confined radial spaces. Typhoon single-stage bolt tensioners offer high bolt loads in vertically restricted spaces and provide the same user-friendly features as the multi-stage tensioners. Our range of Foundation tensioners cover the majority of foundation and anchor bolts with just two different heads and modular bridge assemblies.
